Corporate History

The history of McNally & Sons is a history of exceptional insight, innovative thinking and dedicated execution. From the beginning of his 40-year career in textile technologies, Frank McNally has been at the forefront of innovation, helping to introduce polymer fiber to the U. S. textile industry and leading the rise in value-added options such as textured fiber, dyed fiber and metallic fiber. In 1977, Frank became a partner in and eventually sole owner of Sauquoit Industries, where he pioneered silver-coated nylon fiber technology.

After successful careers as an officer in the Marine Corps and as a sales and marketing executive in the healthcare industry, Bill McNally founded Retina Technologies in 1996. The company incorporated silver fiber in the design of its highly successful DTL electrode. The success and sale of Retina in 1997 lead to the creation of Noble Medical Technologies. Noble focused on the traditional and non-traditional biomedical markets and created an innovative licensing program to market the silver fiber, X-STATIC® to the medical, military and consumer products industries. X-STATIC® quickly became the gold standard for its clinical quality antibacterial, thermodynamic, conductive properties. Today, more than 400 companies and organizations now license, X-STATIC®, including Johnson & Johnson, KCI, Adidas, NASA, NATO and the U. S. Military.

With their combined expertise in manufacturing and marketing advanced biomaterials, wound care products and highly conductive polymers to a wide array of industries around the world, Frank and Bill McNally founded McNally & Sons, LLC. McNally & Sons seeks to continue to establish long-term partnerships with our global client base through shared values, experience, commitment, and vision.
